SPONSORS

Along with our amazing dedicated team of volunteers, the other main reason why Abraham Moss Warriors Football Club has managed to be so successful as a community club is because of our generous sponsors. We also owe our deepest gratitude to organisations such as McDonald’s who have helped to highlight all that we’ve achieved so far and procure further sponsorship.

In 2003, our head coach June Kelly was the national winner of the FA Football Workforce Volunteer Award. Following this, the team were then approached by McDonald’s to do a photo shoot highlighting the club and community which would appear in tray liners in their stores. This publicity also led to being featured in match programs for some very high-profile football matches.

McDonald’s went on to feature the Abraham Moss Warriors another two times in its tray liners and has played a pivotal role in helping the club gain local and national recognition.

However, as the club continued to grow in numbers, the financial strain also began to hit hard and at one point the future of the club looked to be in grave danger. Thankfully, generous donations from the BBC’s Children in Need and the UK grassroots sports development charity, Sporting, came to the rescue and we are now in a much better place financially and can concentrate on growing the club further.

We were then fortunate to receive funding from Reaching Communities through the Big Lottery who fund the active family’s part of the project for 5 years.

Since then the club has gone from strength to strength and are really grateful to all our funders and sponsors for helping us to provide such a vital service for the local community. Thank you.
